Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 5 January 2026
At 52loops, we believe in the integrity of the signal. Our business model is based on providing high-performance video infrastructure, not on selling or harvesting your personal data. This policy outlines how we protect your information while maintaining a high-capacity video ecosystem.
1. Our Core Privacy Principles
- The Anti-Surveillance Model: We do not use tracking cookies. We do not follow you across the web.
- Minimalist Data Collection: We only collect what is fundamentally required to deliver your loops and manage your billing.
- No Success Tax on Privacy: Your privacy protections remain the same whether you are on The Signal or The System.
2. Information We Collect
A. Account Information
To manage your “circuit,” we collect:
- Identity Data: Email address (used for your master login and “Success Credit” notifications).
- Billing Data: Processed via Polar.sh. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
- Infrastructure Metadata: Usage statistics (bandwidth and asset counts) to ensure you are on the correct tier.
B. Video Viewer Data (The “Return” Signal)
When your audience views a loop hosted on our infrastructure:
- IP Address: Processed momentarily to deliver the video from the nearest Edge node.
- Technical Logs: Browser type and device type to ensure optimal video transcoding and playback.
3. Analytics: The Cookieless Approach
We use PostHog for product analytics. To protect your audience:
- Zero Cookies: We operate in “Cookieless Mode.” No tracking files are placed on your viewers’ devices.
- EU Residency: All analytics data is processed on servers located within the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).
- Anonymization: IP addresses are hashed server-side. We see “trends,” not “individuals.”
4. Infrastructure & Data Processors
To maintain the 52loops backbone, we partner with the following “Sub-processors” who adhere to strict security standards:
- Cloudflare: For global edge delivery and Domain Guard security.
- Brevo (EU): For transactional emails and “Signal” updates.
- Polar.sh (USA): For secure payment processing.
- PostHog (EU): For cookieless, privacy-first analytics.
5. Data Residency & International Transfers
- Analytical Data: Resides strictly in the EU.
- Video Content: Distributed globally via our 330-node CDN to ensure the fastest “Return” to your audience, regardless of their location.
- Legal Basis: We process data based on Contractual Necessity (to provide the service you paid for) and Legitimate Interest (to protect our network from abuse via Domain Guard).
6. Security: The Secure Circuit
We implement Domain Guard (Active Whitelisting) to prevent unauthorized use of your content. Internally, we enforce strict 2FA/Security Key protocols for all administrative access to the 52loops infrastructure.
7. Your Rights
Regardless of your location, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold on your circuit.
- Erasure: Request that we “close the loop” and delete your account data.
- Portability: Export your video assets at any time.
To exercise these rights, contact our operations team at privacy@52loops.com.
8. Changes to this Policy
If we modify our infrastructure in a way that impacts your privacy, we will send a signal to your registered email address before the changes take effect.
